Dyson Animal DC15: The Upright Vacuum with a Twist

The Dyson Animal DC15 upright vacuum cleaner features a Ball that twists and turns to make cleaning an effortless activity. The Ball allows the machine to maneuver around furniture for maximized dirt pick up and smooth operation which requires a minimum amount of time and effort.

Some upright vacuums are difficult to turn, particularly in curved areas and under furniture and couches. This problem is what the Dyson Animal DC15 is trying to address with the inclusion of the Ball in its features. The model is also designed to remove pet hair and dirt from confined places like upholstery, cars and stairs. The HEPA and Bactisafe Filter feature is for trapping bacteria and mold which makes the model ideal even for people with allergies.

Aside from the Ball feature, the DC15 is also equipped with a Telescope Reach that allows it to clean areas that other models find difficult to reach. It also features the brand’s Root Cyclone technology which allows the machine to glide into curved spaces. The vac machine has dimensions of 1120 x 347 x 384 mm and a total weight of 8.6 kg. It has a suction power of 220 airwatts and a 2.5 liter-bin capacity. The cord length is 7.7 m, providing a maximum reach of 11.99 m. The motor of the DC15 is mounted inside the Ball which keeps the center gravity low and makes steering quite easy. The Ball is also equipped with rubber tires that prevent it from slipping.

Among the accessories included in this vac machine are a carpet care kit, brush, crevice and stair tools, a floor tool and a mini turbine head. The carpet care kit contains one Zorb pack, a Zorb groomer and one Dyzolv spot cleaner. The model has a regular retail price of $599.
